Newton North Sport Directions

NEWTON NORTH HIGH SCHOOL: From Rte. 128 heading North, your exit number is 21, Rte. 16East (Newton-Wellesley Hospital) and drive.  After 3 or 4 lights, turn right on Commonwealth Avenue (at the fire station).  After your third traffic light on Comm. Ave., turn left onto Lowell Avenue,  take your next right on Elm Road.  This is after just passing the school on your right.   All of the fields, etc. are on the right...
from Mass Pike take exit 17 Newton/Watertown and continue straight through lights onto Washington St. (rte 16). Proceed past Clay Chevolet (parrallel to Pike) for 1.5 miles and turn left at lights (after the Star Market) onto Lowell Avenue. At 4h street turn left onto Elm Rd. into NNHS parking.Back to Top

WARREN HOUSE 1600 Washington St., W. Newton 02465:  (For Lacrosse, Soccer, maybe even some tennis)  From Rte. 128 North or South get off at Rte. 16 (Newton-Wellesley Hospital) and head East on Washington Street.  After 3 or 4 lights, a fire station will be on your right which is Commonwealth Avenue intersection.  Keep going straight.  Then you'll see 4 tennis courts on your right, then a building.   Turn right at the driveway .  The fields are behind the building. CABOT PARK 228 Cabot St., Newtonville 02460: (Usually Freshmen, JV Softball)  From Boston get off of the Mass. Pike by HoJo's to Washington Street and head West.  Take a left (over the bridge of  Mass. Pike) on Harvard Street, take a left on Cabot Street and pass Clarendon Street and Bridge Avenue - Cabot Park is on the left. Back to Top

WEST NEWTON COMMON 95 Elm St. W. Newton 02465: (Usually Freshmen or JV Baseball)  From Rte. 128 North/South, get off at Rte. 16 (Newton-Wellesley Hospital) and head East on Washington Street.  After third light, continue onRt. 16 into West Newton.  You will go over the Mass. Pike  and the middle fork will be Elm Street. Field is 100 yards ahead.

LINCOLN PARK 10 Windsor Rd. Waban 02468:   (Off Beacon Street in Waban, usually just baseball) From Rte. 128 get off at Rte. 16 (Newton-Wellesley Hospital.  The very first set of lights bear right onto Beacon Street.  (There will be a boy scout building on your right).  After 11 streets on your left, take a left on Montclair which is right before a traffic light on Chestnut Street. COLD SPRINGS PLAYGROUND 1150 Beacon St. Newton 02461: (Soccer, JV Baseball and Capture the Flag)  From Rte. 128, exit 21Rte. 16 East.  Take your first right at the first set of lights on to Beacon Street.  Boys Scouts of America (old fire station) is on your right. Follow Beacon St. approx. 1 mile, you will cross intersection of Chestnut St. and Beacon, and one more set of lights and - Cold Spring is aprox. 2/10 mile on your right. Back to Top

ALBEMARLE PLAYGROUND : (Baseball - is between Watertown and Craft Street in Newtonville)  Take Rte. 128 North or South get off at Rte. 16 Newton-Wellesley Hospital and head East on Rte. 16 (this is Washington Street).  Go into West Newton, bear left at the fork in West Newton on Watertown Street to Albemarle Road.  After the lights, you'll see a one-way street to your left.  The field is on the right. FESSENDEN 250 Waltham St. W. Newton 02465:   Rte. 16 East - left on Walnut Street.  Follow hugging left past playground.  Rink is on left. Back to Top

REGGIE LEWIS TRACK AND ATHLETIC CENTER 1350 Tremont St. Roxbury Crossing 02120:   Follow Rte. 9 East through Brookline going under Jamaica Way overpass.  (Rte. 9 now becomes Huntington Ave. - follow streetcar tracks)  Follow Huntington Ave. to second light (Brigham & Women's Hospital is on left).  At light take a far right onto Tremont Street.  Proceed almost 3/4 mile to Roxbury Crossing, the intersection of Tremont St., New Dudley St. and Columbus. Ave. The Reggie Lewis Track is located at this intersection on left across from Roxbury Community College. Back to Top

BRAE BURN COUNTRY CLUB 326 Fuller St. W. Newton 02465:   Rte. 16East (Newton-Wellesley Hospital) and drive about 1 mile to Rt. 30 (Commonwealth Ave) traffic light, turn right on Commonwealth Avenue and travel about 1/4 mile and Country Club will be on your right. Back to Top

Hawthorne Playground 451 Watertown St. Newton 02458- Rt. 128 to Exit 21 (Rt. 16 East) Stay on 16 until you come to W. Newton Threatre and CVS - take left onto Watertown St. (which is Rt. 16) - continue on 16 for about 2 miles until you see Clay Cheverolet - take right immediately after Clay Cheverolot onto Hawthorne St. and you will see the fields.

Forte Park 233 California St. Nonantum, MA 02458 Rt. 128 to Exit 21 (Rt. 16 East) Stay on 16 until you come to W. Newton Threatre and CVS -bear left onto Watertown St. (which is Rt. 16) - continue on 16 for about 1mile cross intersection of Walnut St. to next light (firestation) take left onto Kraft St. then right onto California St. - Post 440 will be on your left, continue on California Street until you reach Forte Park.

Newton Highlands Playground - Centre St. Newton -
128 North or South to Rte 9 East
Route 9 East and go over the overpass past the dunkin donuts
At the bottom of the hill turn right (almost a U turn to Center St.)
Turn left at the Stop sign onto Center St.
Turn left at the first traffic light (Tedeschi's is on the left) which is Dedham St.
Turn left into the parking lot behind Tedeschi's and the field is at the end of the lot.

 

bullet pointNEWTON SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL 140 Brandeis Road, Newton, Ma 02459 From Route 95/128: Travel North or South on Route 95/128 to Route 9 East. Take Route 9 East to the Parker Street Exit (this exit will say Newton Centre/West Roxbury on the sign). Turn Right on Parker Street to Hagen. Turn Left on Hagen and follow around to Brandeis Road. Turn left on Brandeis Road to the High School. The football field and soccer fields are the first entrance to the school parking lot. For the tennis courts and fieldhouse, follow Brandeis around to the other side of the school until you see the parking lot by the tennis courts. From Route 9 East: Travel West on Route 9 to the Parker Street Exit. Turn left on Parker Street to Hagen. Turn Left on Hagen and follow around to Brandeis Road. Turn left on Brandeis Road to the High School. The football field and soccer fields are the first entrance to the school parking lot. For the tennis courts and fieldhouse, follow Brandeis around to the other side of the school until you see the parking lot by the tennis courts.
